The Barnsley AT Team offer a training curriculum to support relevant professionals working within the Yorkshire and Humber NHS region.
If you just want to find out what AAC or environmental control is, how and when to refer to us or the basics of assistive technology then you will find sessions for you. We also have more in depth training for those with a specialism or particular interest in assistive technology. We offer training sessions, accredited educational courses and open days, we also host training by other providers including suppliers.

Booking on a course
We are currently revising our training programme and do not have any dates planned for courses at Barnsley Hospital. However, we are happy to consider delivering any of the courses listed in our curriculum in your area at a date to suit you, as long as you are able to provide a venue and a minimum of eight attendees. If you are interested in this, please complete the enquiries form below.
To book onto one of the courses, please use the online booking links within the training schedule. Most (but not all) courses are listed on EventBrite. If there are any problems or the course is not available for online booking, please contact the AT team on email Barnsley.firstname.lastname@example.org or call (01226) 432159 quoting the course name and date.
Courses will run subject to a minimum level of attendance.
Please also signup to our email list (and choose ‘training and education’) to receive information about future training events.
