Our winter 2023 edition of Barnsley Hospital News is now out!
It’s full of fun and sparkle to brighten your coffee break through this..er..festive weather. We’ve even got a Christmas Raffle with a fantastic first prize of £1,000! (page 4).
You can also catch up with the daredevil antics of our hospital charity; they’ve been walking barefoot over hot coals and broken glass to raise funds – and even fire-breathing.
The real reason behind many of these latest fundraising efforts is a serious one – to help people with dementia. On page 3, our own Kelly Furniss from Procurement tells us her moving story of being a carer for her mum who has dementia. Our lovely respiratory team appear on page 4 with their tips for keeping warm and well.
