Barnsley Hospital News - January 2023
Our first ‘Barnsley Hospital News’ edition for 2023 is now out! You’ll find it in the Barnsley Chronicle today (Friday January 27) as well as on our website and social pages.
Look out for great news about our Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC) in the town centre’s Glass Works – the CDC has just received an extra £4.6m in funds and so can introduce another eight services including CT and MRI scanning.
Work is also almost complete on our new £7.3m Intensive Care Unit, due to start caring for patients in March.
In other news, we hear about free blood pressure checks (look after your ticker!), and a brilliant scheme helping young people with learning difficulties get into jobs.
