This weekend Barnsley Hospital midwives and experts from children’s services across Barnsley will be on hand to offer advice and information about all aspects of pregnancy, childbirth and after the birth.
The drop-in session on Saturday 16th June from 10.00 – 11.30 at Penistone Grammar Advanced Learning Centre, Penistone is open to anyone having a baby or thinking about having a baby.
The midwives will be joined by Health Visitors, Children Centre Staff, Nursery Nurses and many others all available to give you advice on healthy eating, stopping smoking, emotional health and wellbeing, infant feeding and many other areas, including home safety and the book start scheme.
Anne Smith, Public Health midwife at Barnsley Hospital, said: “Whether you’re just thinking about having a baby, or you’re already pregnant, or someone you know is pregnant this is a great opportunity to come and find out more.
If you’re thinking about having a baby, we can advise you on how to get your body fit for conception, and on how to keep yourself healthy during pregnancy and afterwards.”
