The Day Surgery and Endoscopy Unit (DSEU) opened in 1996 and is purposed built to enable patients to come into hospital, have their operation or endoscopy procedure, recover and then go home on the same day.

Although only being open a relatively short time, the unit has evolved since 1996, providing greater services, more procedures and more flexible patient choice such as evening sessions and reduced waiting times for patients.

We currently undertake many different procedures across different specialties including endoscopy, ENT (ear nose and throat), general surgery, gynaecology, oral and maxillofacial, orthopaedics, urology and vascular.

The Day Surgery and Endoscopy Unit is a bright well-designed unit that provides a relaxing environment for patients undergoing day case procedures.
