The Learning and Development department at Barnsley Hospital is one of the largest in the region and has a wide range of courses and training sessions designed to help you develop your career.
All staff undergo a detailed local and corporate induction on arrival at the Trust followed by a statutory training programme agreed with your line manager which will cover a mixture of clinical and non-clinical topics that will assist you in your role.
Each member of staff is given a personal development plan that forms the basis for determining what additional training you might need but also measures your performance for pay increases and promotion opportunities.

On site car parking is available, but it is limited. The Trust operates a car park permit system and parking charges apply. We encourage staff to car share or consider greener options such as walking or cycling to work.
