From Wednesday 24 June our Children’s Emergency Department will be back in its old home near the main department. Just like other areas in the hospital, this area is split for “hot” and “cold” patients. This means patients will have their initial assessments outside, and then directed to the appropriate area.

The Children’s Assessment Unit has established a new home in Ward 38, so there are now two children’s wards. Ward 37 will accommodate “hot” patients, and ward 38 will accommodate “cold” patients. There are separate entrances for each ward with clear signage for directions.
