The highest priority for the NHS remains the safety of staff, patients and visitors.

The Government have announced Covid-19 restrictions and guidance for the general public will come to an end over the next few weeks. Now it is no longer a legal requirement for the public to self-isolate if they have Covid-19, and masks are no longer mandated in many public spaces. However, this is different for us at the hospital.

We want to continue to provide the safest possible care environment for our patients, their families, visitors and our staff. Our role as a Trust since the government’s announcement is to protect the most vulnerable people, so please redouble your efforts to keep the risk low when you come to the hospital

We ask you to continue to be vigilant and test before coming for an appointment or if visiting the hospital, and you should not attend if you have any symptoms of Covid-19 or have tested positive. We still encourage all visitors to take a lateral flow test before coming to the hospital.

Our current request for everyone in the hospital to wear masks, maintain social distancing and good hand hygiene are also unchanged. Please actively continue to wear a mask or face covering at the hospital (unless you are exempt).
