Since schools closed, children all around the country have made rainbows and put them in their windows. We have seen loads of them as we travel into work at the hospital, and we have to tell you it really brightens our days.

These rainbows and other drawings and paintings in windows, on walls and pavements really make a difference and send a supportive message to vulnerable people and key workers.

You are letting them know that you’re thinking of them and the things they are doing to support your community.

So to say thank you to those children for raising our spirits and making us smile, we have made a certificate of achievement you can download and print. It’s the least we could do!

We got this idea from East Sussex Council – a grandmother contacted them on social media to ask if there was something she could give her grandchildren who have been cheering her up.

If you have a printer at home, we’ve made an A4 sized certificate that you can download and print. If you don’t have a printer handy, you might have a friend or relative who could print it for you and send it to you in the post.

We have loved seeing all the pictures of rainbows children in Barnsley have been making, so keep sharing those too.
