Are you aged 30 – 80 and taking 1 or 2 different tablets to treat your diabetes?
If you can answer YES to the questions above, you may be able help us with a new research project:
Improving treatment of Type 2 Diabetes, by finding the right diabetes medication for the right patient
We are looking for patients to try 3 different regularly prescribed diabetes drugs over a year.
By taking a second or third drug alongside your current medication you can help us to choose more effective treatments and improve diabetes care in the future.
Taking part will involve 6 appointments over a year:
- 4 x 1-hour appointments for blood & urine samples and information about your diabetes (at 0, 4, 8 and 12 months)
- 1 x 3-hour appointment with a liquid-meal drink and a series of blood tests
- 1 x 30 minute final appointment to discuss your results
