Based in the hospital, we are a registered charity (1058037) and operate to directly support the care and needs of Barnsley Hospital patients and their families.
Every penny raised for Barnsley Hospital Charity will make a difference. It will contribute to extra comforts on the wards, help buy cutting-edge specialist equipment and support specialist training and research.
What does Barnsley Hospital Charity fund? – We fund projects that go above and beyond and make a difference in the quality of care Barnsley Hospital can provide for your loved ones.
Support our charity and you will play a very real part in saving more lives, developing new treatments, helping our patients have access to the most state of the art facilities and equipment and support those that need it most.
The types of things we fund are:
- Additional facilities and an improved environment.
- Additional equipment that can make a real difference to patient care.
- Opportunities for staff training.
- Opportunities to further medical knowledge through research

As well as fundraising for all areas of the hospital, we also have a our Tiny Hearts Appeal.
The Tiny Heart appeal is a very special campaign launched in September 2014 and aims to raise £1 million to help support the development of a brand new Special Care Baby Unit.
