We offer a supportive Preceptorship Programme that runs over 12 months.

The programme is delivered by a dedicated Practice Educator for Preceptorship. Our aim is to support the transition from student to registered professional; ensuring that newly qualified healthcare professionals become confident and competent practitioners.

The Preceptorship Programme is also offered to international recruits, staff new to Trust, and and return to practice staff members.

During the Preceptorship Programme, you will be offered:

  • a supernumerary period (ward specific times)
  • regular meetings with your preceptor
  • five protected study days
  • access to clinical skills and essential skills days
  • regular support from the Workforce Development Team and Practice Educator for Preceptorship
