Many of our outpatient diagnostic appointments are now in the Community Diagnostic Centre rather than on the main hospital site.

We offer appointments for phlebotomy, ultrasound, breast screening (Mammography), X-ray, and DEXA (bone density) scanning.

Patients must have a pre-arranged appointment to be able to access the services on offer.

Our Community Diagnostic Centre is conveniently located in the Glass Works in Barnsley town centre.

Getting to the Glass Works

Parking at The Glass Works could not be easier. The multi-storey can be found on Lambra Road, just off the Alhambra roundabout. With easy access from the motorway, Doncaster Road, and other major highways. For Satnav users, follow S70 1SF to the customer car park. Get directions here. Park on any level in The Glass Works car park and take the lift or stairs to the ground floor. Once you exit the lift lobby, head straight on and you will find us on your left after about 100 metres.

The Glass Works is ideally located near Barnsley station. With regular services to Sheffield, Huddersfield, Leeds, Nottingham and more, the train is a great alternative to driving when coming to The Glass Works. Get directions here.
