The Acute Pain Team will review patients who have been to theatre and have Patient Controlled Analgesia (PCA) and Patient Controlled Epidural Analgesia (PCEA) insitu.

This service covers inpatient General Surgery, Orthopaedic and Gynaecology.

This inpatient service is a resource to minimise Acute Pain.

The service operates from 08:00 – 16:00- 5 days per week. The team can be contacted on AP 6000, via the main hospital switchboard.

We do not see Chronic Pain patients and we do not see patients in outpatients.
