Start your career in the NHS

IMG_4272-169Barnsley Hospital recruits for a number of business and administration apprenticeship vacancies.

Apprenticeships offer the chance to gain important skills in a working environment while gaining relevant qualifications and paying a competitive salary.

You can apply for an apprenticeship from 16 years of age, however the placements have no upper-age restrictions and have been used for a career change as well as starting a new work journey.

All of the Trust’s apprenticeships are underpinned with a qualification, and, depending on the chosen framework, this could be at level two or three which is the equivalent to A Level study. All training roles provide the opportunity to gain basic skills and offer real work experience in an NHS setting, whilst gaining vital qualifications.

The Trust is offering a wide range of roles, from administrative to clinical, which are suitable for placement. In the past the hospital has recruited for roles such as: Health Care Assistant, Porter, Accountant, Procurement, Allied Health Professional and Communications Officer.

If you are interested in an apprenticeship please contact the hospital’s Vocational Team or our partners at Barnsley College who can provide advice and guidance on the frameworks available and the application process.

Apprenticeships are advertised on the following websites; www.jobs.nhs.uk and www.apprenticeships.org.uk
