Candidates will require recent relevant financial experience in a large, complex organisation which is essential to undertake this role. This experience may be from other organisations than the NHS or public sector as we welcome applicants with relevant private sector experience who can contribute to our success.
In order to deliver the best care to our patients we know we need the best leaders to help us on our journey and to continue to be the best for our patients. As a Foundation Trust we enjoy greater flexibility, but this places greater reliance on the leadership and governance of our Board.
Successful candidates will possess exceptional leadership skills and demonstrate real motivation for making a difference. They will be strategic thinkers, widely experienced in the dynamics of a modern business operating in a rapidly changing environment.
Candidates will require a relevant financial, business, or legal background which may have been gained in a large, complex organisation. In addition we are seeking candidates with relevant recent knowledge and experience of the digital agenda or the ability to bring a clinical voice to discussions at the Board which could be advantageous. This experience may be from other organisations than the NHS or public sector as we welcome applicants with relevant private sector experience who can contribute to our success.
We are seeking candidates who can bring a local perspective to our Trust so we are keen to speak to candidates who live or work in the Barnsley area or the South Yorkshire/West Yorkshire region and/or have strong connections with the Barnsley area and be willing to demonstrate a commitment to the wider Barnsley community as well as the Trust.
You should also be committed to the NHS and the principles behind an NHS Foundation Trust.
